11u Cougars defeated by the Prairie Hawks

Tuesday April 22, the 11u Cougars couldn't fell short against the Prairies Hawks loosing 16-1.  Drew Bartels counted sheep in left and center field. Drew was walked his one and only time at bat.

11u Cougars can't make it work against Clear Creek Amana. Cougars loose 18-0 in their first game of the season. Center fielder, Drew Bartels struck out his first and only time up to bat.

9U Cougar Gold jumps on CR Warriors 9U early and coasts to 9-0 win

9U Cougar Gold refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against CR Warriors 9U, recording a 9-0 victory on Tuesday at Erskine.
With five runs in the first three innings, 9U Cougar Gold left no doubt about the eventual outcome.
A two-run double by Jack H during the first inning and a hit by pitch and a walk by Carter N in the second inning supplied the early offense for 9U Cougar Gold.
9U Cougar Gold's Jack was perfect at the dish, going 1-1.


Tyler B shut down CR Warriors 9U while he was on the hill. Tyler held CR Warriors 9U hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out five.

Ike L got the win for 9U Cougar Gold. He tossed two innings of shutout ball. Ike struck out five, walked one and gave up one hit.
Cooper S ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked four, struck out none, and allowed one run.
9U Cougar Gold matched its one-run third inning with one more in the fourth. In the third, 9U Cougar Gold scored on an RBI double by Rowan D, scoring Jack.

Fourth-inning rally sparks blowout win for 9U Cougar Gold, 13-7

9U Cougar Gold beat FCC 13-7 in five innings on Sunday at Uni dome after an eight-run explosion in the fourth inning.

The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to five lead changes in the game.

9U Cougar Gold finally managed to grab the lead after a strong fourth inning. A steal of home by Dominic M gave 9U Cougar Gold the lead for good.

Dominic went a perfect 2-2 at the dish for 9U Cougar Gold. He tripled in the first inning and singled in the fourth inning.

Colby D got the win in relief for 9U Cougar Gold. Colby pitched four innings and allowed one run.

Gus was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just three innings, walked four, struck out three, and allowed five runs.

The top of the first saw 9U Cougar Gold take an early lead, 2-0. 9U Cougar Gold added more runs when D scored on an RBI double by Rowan D.

It didn't take long for FCC to respond as it scored six runs of its own in the first. FCC scored on A two-run double by Ben, an RBI single by Owen, a wild pitch, a fielder's choice, and an RBI single by Cole.

The fourth spelled defeat for FCC, as 9U Cougar Gold grabbed the lead for good. More runners rounded the bases on two errors, a groundout by Tyler B, and an RBI single by Dominic.

9U Cougar Gold drops 13-1 game to J Hawks

9U Cougar Gold fell 13-1 to J Hawks at UNI Dome on Sunday.

Dominic M reached base two times.

J Hawks hammered 9U Cougar Gold pitching as six hitters had a field day, combining for four hits, six RBIs and 12 runs scored.

Rowan D ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He allowed 10 runs in two innings, walked seven and struck out four.

The game was never in doubt after the first, as J Hawks scored six runs on an RBI single by Ziegler and two triples.

The lone run of the game for 9U Cougar Gold crossed the plate in the first inning on a groundout by Colby D.

J Hawks built upon its lead with four runs in the second. Ortner singled, plating Kleesmer to start the inning.

Dominic M's effort not enough in 9U Cougar Gold's 8-4 loss

9U Cougar Gold lost despite Dominic M's spectacular day from both the mound and the plate.

Dominic was hot from the plate for 9U Cougar Gold. Dominic went 1-2, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the first inning.

Dominic put together a nice outing. J Hawks managed just one hit off of M, who allowed three earned runs, walked two and struck out eight during his four innings of work.

The lead stayed with J Hawks after the first, when it scored four runs on two singles.

9U Cougar Gold got one-run rallies in the first inning and the third. In the first, 9U Cougar Gold scored on a wild pitch, bringing home Dominic.

J Hawks piled on three more runs in the top of the third. A wild pitch scored Ziegler to get J Hawks on the board in the inning.

One run in the bottom of the third helped 9U Cougar Gold close its deficit to 7-2. A groundout by Dominic set off 9U Cougar Gold rally. J Hawks stopped the rally after Ziegler got Carter N to strike out.

Two runs in the bottom of the fourth helped 9U Cougar Gold close its deficit to 7-4. A groundout by Jack H fueled 9U Cougar Gold's comeback. But, Ziegler got Tyler B to ground out to end the inning.

J Hawks put up one more run in the top of the fifth when Kleesmer stole home.
